Tomeu Riera (Bunyola, 1991)

A small-town cartoonist transplanted to the city. A graphic designer, illustrator, and concept artist who has professionalized in the area of video games.

After taking private painting classes with Josep Munar and Pep Suari in my teens, I studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona.

I earned a Master’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, and Design from the technical studies center Nettformación (2015) and a Master’s degree in Illustration and Concept Art Online from the Universal Arts School of Valencia (2021).

After completing my studies, I frequently collaborated as a cartoonist for El Triangle magazine and the supplement La Punta del Triangle. I have also contributed sporadically to El Jueves magazine as a result of the Connecta’t al Còmic scholarship, and to Cthulhu Magazine, publishing short horror stories (Cautiva, 2022).
