The comic sector in the Balearic Islands has always been very active and dynamic. We have professionals of national and international recognition and prestige, publishing houses, specialised bookshops, regular exhibitions, institutional support and a promising pool of young authors.

The Clúster de Còmic i Nous Media de Mallorca is an association that brings together professionals and companies related to this sector. Our main target is to promote this discipline and facilitate its correct development and recognition.

One of the association’s best-known projects is the CòmicNostrum Festival, which has been organised by the association since 2012, a Festival aimed at both professionals and amateurs, which facilitates meetings with international authors and publishers, without neglecting more popular activities, like the organisation of street markets for example. Having already staged and performed in audiovisual and circus shows, life-drawn concerts and dramatised comic-book readings, we  regularly collaborate with other sectors, such as  music, theatre and museums, as well as the circus.

As well  as other links to the so-called Nous Media (New Media) for example, animation and  video games, our association currently brings together the highest number of professionals from the comic and illustration sector in the Balearic Islands.
